This year, ACS
(International) celebrated
Founder’s Day in a
unique way by inviting
students to enter into two
competitions: writing a
poem and drawing a
cartoon panel based on
the theme ‘The founding,
struggles and progress of
Anglo-Chinese School’.
We had many well
thought-through entries
and the school, staff
and students alike had
a chance to view the
winning entries in the
gallery at the school foyer.
During the event, we honoured the well-deserving recipients
of the Old Boys Association and Han Pok Fong Awards who
had worked hard and are indeed role models for their peers.
Besides the magnificent performances by the string orchestra,
guzheng ensemble, dance troupe and percussion ensemble,
the school was awed by the angelic and powerful voice of
Celyna (5 THO) with piano accompaniment from Zoey (5
GHK).
The ACS family of schools has always believed in bringing out
the best among our students and preparing them for the future.
If we may quote one verse from the Bible, it will definitely be:
“Train
up a child in the way he should
go:
and when he is old, he will not
depart from it.”
Proverbs
22:6 KJV
ACS (International) has trained and inspired many students
since opening its doors in 2005 and we are indeed proud
that it has produced many Ivy League students, including one
45-pointer in 2015. We are even more proud that it has
produced men and women of character and decorum who
are seeking to enhance the lives of many around them. With
these beliefs and our school values IGNITE, we are continuing
with our strong efforts in bringing up men and women who
are prepared for the future while being strongly rooted in
Christian Values. |
