124th ACS Founder's Day

Celebrating 124 Years of God's Blessings!

Honouring the forefathers of ACS at the ACS (Barker Road) Founder's Day Parade.

As always, this year’s ACS Founder’s Day on 1 March was celebrated with much pomp and ceremony.

The hallmark Founder’s Day Dinner drew an attendance of nearly a thousand; the schools celebrated their continuing progress and achievements; patrons of the schools, outstanding teachers and students were deservingly honoured; and even ACSians overseas gathered to remember the alma mater fondly. It was undeniably a joyous celebration of 124 years of God’s blessings that made ACS a premier school with an enviable track record of producing many exceptional scholars and leaders to serve God, nation and the community.

An Evening of Entertainment & Fellowship

The ACS Founder’s Day Dinner held at Suntec Convention Centre on 1 March was graced by Guest-of-Honour, RAdm(NS) Lui Tuck Yew, Acting Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts; RAdm Lui was a cohort member of the ACS Class of 76.

ACJC’s ACSian Theatre provided the entertainment for the evening and captivated the guests with two ‘catchy’ dance entitled ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ and ‘Desi Girl’. Co-hosts for the evening were Joy-Marie Toh & Nathan Hartono.

Highlights of the 124th ACS Founder's Day Celebrations

Each of the schools in the ACS family also staged their own celebrations that included colourful parades, inspiring speeches, thanksgiving services and performances. ACSians living or studying abroad also got together to ‘echo the sound of ACS Forever’. And the traditional Past vs Present Games which took centre stage on the last Sunday before Founder’s Day was yet another enjoyable day of fun and fellowship.

Below is a summary of the highlights.
