Students, parents and Old Boys rallied around on
Teachers’ Day to pay tribute to our teachers, past and present.
Gestures of appreciation
to the teachers who made a difference in our lives were
demonstrated in various ways.
The ACS OBA organised a party
which was attended by 70 retired principals, vice-principals,
teachers and staff, while students and parents put in tremendous
time and effort to honour the teachers in fun and entertaining
ways. Below are some of the highlights:
Games & Celebrities Galore at
ACS (Barker Road)
The student leaders at
ACS (Barker) took the lead to organise
friendly games and matches like street
soccer and Captain’s Ball for teachers and
students to participate. In a heart warming
moment, Andre (right) thanked all the
teachers on behalf of the students.
Teachers
and students sharing a common interest
.... soccer!
The
Parents’ Support Group
organised a fantastic party
for the teachers at Hard
Rock Cafe. Big Momma, seen
here (below) with Jack
Sparrow, stole the show when
she sashayed into Hard Rock
Cafe with her flower hat,
purse and feathers and the
paparazzi hot on her heels!
Other celebrities
spotted at the party were
Men in Black, Neo and
Trinity from the Matrix
Trilogy and the nuns from
Sister Act.
Two
Elvises turned up at the
party and Alice has to
figure out which one is
the real one!
The
REAL celebrity to grace the
occasion was our very
own ACSian, Adrian Pang.
He was greeted and
cheered on by screams of
delight as he sang,
danced and shook hands
with adoring fans.
Mr
Peter ‘Charlie’ Tan looks
really cool here with
his Angels, Mrs Aw Meng
Yin and Ms Judy Yeow.
