Over at ACS (Independent),
Founder’s Day was celebrated with much pomp and ceremony. After
a rousing welcome by the Chinese Performing Arts Group, the
esteemed Guest-of-Honour and illustrious old boy, Dr Lee Suan
Yew, delivered an inspiring message to a packed auditorium.
Our Principal, Dr Ong Teck
Chin then aligned our focus for the Year 2009 with his annual
report; he also urged the students to continue striving for
excellence in our endeavour to achieve the Singapore Quality
Award, as well as to work as a team in order to ensure the
successful implementation of the Blue Ocean Strategy.
During the ceremony, those
who had excelled academically in the past year were also
honoured with a presentation of awards, rounding off yet another
year of accomplishments in ACS (Independent) history.
