Congratulations to all the medal winners,

I
believe that The Best is Yet to
Be!
I was a member of the 4 x 200m Freestyle relay team
which won a Gold medal for Singapore.
We knew it would be a tough fight with the Thais and true
enough they were in the lead as I jumped in. All I could
think about then was to swim as fast as I could to narrow
the difference between my split swim and theirs.
When my team mate, Ting Wen, jumped in for the anchor
leg, I prayed that she would be able to catch up. It was
absolutely inspiring watching her fight so hard and making
a comeback to clinch the Gold.
Medals aside, through swimming, we learn to be more
resilient and to persevere in the face of obstacles. Through
successes, setbacks and sportsmanship, we become not
only better athletes but also better persons.
A huge thank you to my school, teachers, classmates,
friends, coaches, my parents and everyone who prayed
for me. My success at the SEA Games would not have
been possible without your
support.
Last but certainly not the
least, I thank God for His
grace. For all that I have
achieved, to God be the
Glory!
I hope and believe that the
Best is Yet to Be.
