A Lighthouse Treat To
Remember
The saying that the impact and influence of teachers on our
lives can never be erased holds true for many who have passed
through the portals of ACS. Years may have already gone by, but
our beloved mentors are always remembered fondly for making
us what we are today.
On August 24,
Mr Philip Ng, CEO Far East Organisation,
hosted a lunch for some of the retired ACS Teachers who had
taught him and impacted his life. Held at The Lighthouse atop
Fullerton Hotel, the luncheon was surely one that the teachers
will remember for a long, long time.
According to retired teacher,
Ms Agnes Yong, “Many thanks to
Mr Philip Ng and the organisers for the unforgettable lunch and
generous gifts of carrot cake and food vouchers. We all had a
wonderful time dining and interacting with other retired teachers
from the various ACS schools at The Lighthouse. Despite all
the crises that come our way, our faith in Christ is strengthened
by Mr Ng’s message on Salvation and Peace. Let’s have more
interaction sessions together to lift our spirits!”
Present at the lunch were the Principals of the ACS schools to
mingle with the retired staff and to understand the needs and
support that the schools may provide in organising such events.
“We also need volunteers to step forward as coordinators,
helpers and drivers to manage future gatherings”, Mr Wan Fook
Weng, the driving force behind the gatherings, added.
