The ACS OBA – Far East Organisation (FEO) Singapore
Economic & Real Estate Market Update Seminar and
Members’ Networking Event was successfully held on 18
August 2017 at the Fullerton Hotel Straits Room.
The evening started with members streaming in even before
the doors were opened and after networking for more than
an hour over the fine wines, the 50 members present ceased
being strangers. The seminar was opened by President of the
OBA, Lim Tat and FEO’s Senior Property Manager Ms Tan
Siew Keow.
Suan Teck Kin, Head Research at UOB, gave members a
broad overview of the economic outlook for Singapore in
2017 and beyond, while Alan Cheong (ACJC ‘83), Senior
Director of Research & Consultancy at Savills, shared with
us his insights into the residential and commercial property
sectors in Singapore, and where he saw the property market
heading in these two asset classes.
After the two talks and dessert, members continued with
networking and sharing of views about property investments
with the speakers, fellow members, bankers and senior FEO
representatives.
We received excellent comments from members that the talks
were informative and insightful, and certainly timely at a point
when property markets seemed to be turning around.
We would like to express our appreciation to FEO for
collaborating with the ACS OBA and organising the event
and sponsoring the wines, dinner and wonderful venue. We
look forward to more joint events with FEO in the near future.
As always, the ACS OBA strives to strengthen its ties through
networking events and we encourage ACSians to come
forward with ideas and offers of expertise and sponsorship.
Please send an email to admin@oba.net to register your
interest for future occasions.
