2009 is
a particularly significant year for the ACS Class of 75 and ACJC
Class of 77 as it is the year when most members from these cohorts
turn 50. With this as the excuse, more than 200 of them gathered at
the One Degree 15 Marina Club at Sentosa Cove for the “We are 50!
The Best is Yet to Be!” reunion. Among those present to celebrate
the occasion on 18 July were 32 spouses and cohorts from the PSLE
Class of 71.
The
highlights were a slick slide production depicting our past and
present and a giant birthday cake with the ACS badge as well as the
old (now defunct) ACJC badge on top, with all of 50 candles in the
school colours of Red, Blue and Gold.
All together now .... BLOW!
This
would be the 4th Reunion for this joint ACS 75/ACJC 77 cohort in the
last 9 years, having celebrated in 2000, 2005, 2007 and now 2009. It
should certainly be one for the record books in ACS/ACJC no matter
how you look at it. Regular reunions with bigger and bigger turnouts
that even Oldham would have been proud of. The ACS Spirit lives on
and The Best Is Yet To Be.
