After
more than 5 years at the helm, the Rev Dr John Barrett will be
retiring at the end of this year as Principal of ACS
(International). He will, however, continue to serve on the School
Board when Mr. Kerr Fulton-Peebles succeeds him on 01 January 2010.
			An
ordained minister, Rev Dr John Barrett was the Headmaster of The
Leys School (1990-2004). The Leys School is a prestigious Methodist
private school in Cambridge, UK founded in 1875 by the Wesleyan
Methodist Conference. The affable Dr Barrett is also the current
Chairman of the World Methodist Council. He played a major role in
the conceptualization and the successful launch of ACS
			(International).
			Thanks
to his leadership, dedication and experience, the School has come a
			long way since it opened its doors in 2005 with about 120 students;
the current student population now stands at about 800. The
students’ academic and curricular achievements are impressive and
speak well for the ACS brand of holistic education. In short, Dr
Barrett has contributed immensely to nurture and produce future
leaders and global citizens based on strong fundamental moral
values. A hands-on and well respected educationist, he is viewed
with great respect and affection by his teachers and students.
			On
behalf of the ACS (International) Board of Management, I would like
to take this opportunity to thank Dr John Barrett for his selfless
services and wish him all the very best in his retirement.

			Mr Tan Wah Thong
			Chairman
			ACS (International) Board of Management.
