Old Boys remember
their mentors on Teachers' Day
The Teachers' Day Party was
initiated by the ACS OBA in 2004 to honour our retired teachers
and principals who helped shaped the lives of generations of
ACSians. This event has since become an annual affair as Dr. Ang
Peng Tiam, President of the ACS OBA, had promised after the
successful inaugural party in 2004.
This year's party on 1 September
was once again successful, thanks to the fine weather and all those who helped in one
way or other to make the event a special evening for our retired
teachers.
"In particular, the OBA would like
to thank Mr. Ng Eng Chin, Principal of ACS (Barker Road), Ms
Jayanthi, Manager of the Barker Road Arts Centre, for their
invaluable assistance", said Mr. Albert Ng the organizing
chairman of the party.
"It was such a joy for many of us
to catch up with dear teachers like Mr. Lim Choon Mong, Mr.
Earnest Lau, Mrs. Lee Tzu Hong, Mrs. Phyllis Fong and many
others, and we look forward to seeing them again next year",
added Albert who was from the Class of 76.
The ACS OBA welcomes retired
teachers from any of our family of schools whether you have
served one or forty years. If you know of any teachers who have
been inadvertently left out of the invitation list, please
inform Yvonne Leong
at the ACS OBA Secretariat (Tel: 6259 7860).
We look forward
to seeing you on 1 Sept 2008.
