ACS
Oldham Hall, nestled deep in the ACS Barker Road campus, provides
more than just accommodation for boarders. Its versatile facilities,
which include a chapel that sits up to 120 people, a function room
for 60 and a spacious air-conditioned Dining Hall for 450, have
catered for a variety of needs since its re-opening in December
            2002.
            Between
            2003 and 2004, three alumni groups (1971, 1979 and 1993) held their
reunions at the Dining Hall. Now, with upgraded audio-visual
capabilities which include a sound system, LCD projector and screen,
the Dining Hall makes an ideal venue for ACSians and alumni to meet,
            whatever the occasion.
            In
February to March this year, the ACS (Barker Road) Water-Polo team
held their first ever residential sports programme in ACS Oldham
Hall. Following this was a Rugby Training Camp for the ACS (Barker
Road) in the first week of June. Both experiences were very
memorable for all. Staying together enabled the teams to deepen
their relationships and the boys brought much fun, colour and life
            into the Hall.
            ACS
Oldham Hall also played a part in the International Prayer
Conference in June this year. Delegates from different parts of the
world stayed in ACS Oldham Hall. The Dining Hall was booked to
provide a cool place for delegates to have lunch and the chapel was
            used as a workshop venue.
            As we
prepare for the end of the school year, we want to thank our
Almighty God for His guidance and protection over ACS Oldham Hall
thus far. This November, our first batch of boarders will face their
GCE "A" Levels. We pray that all of them will do well and be able to
move on to the next phase of their lives.
            Next
year, we look forward to housing new boarders from the pioneer batch
of students from ACS (International). We hope to host more camps and
events that will enhance the family ties within our family of
schools and the network of ACS alumni.
            If you
are planning to organize any reunions, camps or events, do give us a
call. We may be just the place you are looking for!
