The ACS OBA SCRUM Network
is
 3,029 strong and growing!

The Scrum Network is an ACS OBA Internet initiative to turn the ACS alumni into a connected and strengthened community - like a rugby scrum. Since its launch on Founders Day, 01 March 2003, it has grown by word of mouth to 3,029 registered members (as of 01 October 2003). To date, the top three cohorts in SCRUM are ACS (Independent) 1995 with 30.07% connected, ACS (Independent) 1996 with 22.95%, and ACJC 2000 with 19.06%.

SCRUM Registration TIPS

Name:

  • Your full name is required.

  • If you graduated from ACSS (Sec 4 or 5) or ACJC (Pre U2) from 1982 to 1991, you are required to submit your Hanyupinyin name.

Cohort Year:

  • This is the year you graduated from school (eg Sec 4 in ACSS, Pre U2 in ACJC).

  • For SCRUM purposes, your cohort year is the year in which you were listed in the graduating yearbook.

  • ACS (Barker Road) refers to the new school, first batch of which graduated in 1997. “Older” Barker Road graduates are classified under ACSS.

Update:

  • After registration, a password will be sent to you.

  • Login using the password immediately and review your personal details in the “My Profile” section.

  • At the same time, you may want to change your password, replace your hanyupinyin name or update your personal details where applicable

Join SCRUM Now!

SCRUM is open to all alumni of ACS schools. You do not have to be a member of the ACS OBA to join SCRUM. And if you were from ACS but left before graduation, you are also eligible to join SCRUM. Registration is simple. Just login to the SCRUM Network website: www.acsoba.net and register online (see Tips below)

Once you are in SCRUM, you can view the contact information of the registered members of your cohort, update your profile so that your classmates can stay in touch with you, join and form interest groups such as ACS Golfing, ACS USA, etc, and be updated on the latest ACS community news.

SCRUM Needs Your Help!

You can help SCRUM to grow by inviting your ACSian friends to visit the SCRUM website (www.acsoba.net) and register. SCRUM also needs volunteers to be cohort representatives and leaders.

For more information on volunteering or about SCRUM, please contact Woon Chet Choon (ACSS 1980/ACJC 1982) at wooner@akroo.com or 9760-8681.
