The Oldham Club Annual General Meeting
(AGM) on 9 April 2017 was preceded by
a fantastic prata and curry buffet. Among
those present were Mr Richard Seow,
President of the ACS BOG, Mr Lim Tat,
President of the ACS OBA and Mr Peter
Tan, Principal of ACS (Barker Road).
After dinner and a good time of fellowship,
Mr Low Yang Tong, Head of Oldham
Club, opened the meeting. This was
followed by updates on the seven sports
chapters (Badminton, Basketball, Hockey,
Rugby, Squash, Tennis and Waterpolo) by
the office bearers who were subsequently
reappointed for another term.
In their addresses, Mr Lim Tat and Mr
Richard Seow encouraged the Club to
continue to make an impact on the students
and sports programmes of the ACS
schools, and to work towards its aspiration
of being an inclusive community club by
serving and connecting with those outside
the ACS family. Mr Seow re-iterated the
original purpose and mission of Oldham
Club and exhorted the members to stay
true to the vision that underpins the Club
ethos; above all, the Club must continue to
find ways to give back to the school, the
wider community and Singapore.
Mr Peter Tan closed the evening with a
word of prayer, sending the club members
home with renewed enthusiasm and
energy for the year ahead.
