The Remarkable Ties That Bind The Class of 60/62

The ties that bind the Class of 60/62 are remarkable. The cohort meets monthly for lunch but in the month of February 2016, there were three additional gatherings!

The first was the Pre-U Arts Class of 62 gathering at the home of Lim (Heng) Lee Hua for fellow classmate, Gek Imm, who was visiting from Bangkok. This was followed by the Pre-U Science Class of 62 gathering organised by Loke Loo Pin at Imperial Treasure Super Duck on 16 February and finally the Class of 60’s Lo Hei lunch at Lao Beijing Novena on 19 February.

Jointly organised by Chris Chen and Ong Eng Tong, the Lo Hei lunch was well attended by more than 30, including Tony Hardy who flew in from the United Kingdom to join in the traditional tossing for prosperity. “The noise level at the restaurant was at an all time high and it was just like we were back in school. We may be a little older but thankfully our personalities have not altered out of all recognition”, Tony commented.

The camaraderie is fantastic. Whenever we meet, our individual professional standings, social status and such are left at the door. And for a few hours, we are just equal fellow classmates and even mischievous boys once again”, Chris added.
