This year’s edition of the Past vs Present was held in the morning of 22nd Feb. Having the event in the morning had no visible impact as Old Boys, dressed in their sporting best, turned up in full force and on time! This year we saw the addition of the ACS (International) touch rugby team much to the joy of the rugby community.

The Present teams were tipped to use their fitness to run rings around the Past teams, as the latter were expected to wilt in the intense February heat. However, this expectation did not come true for the Present teams as the Old Boys retained the Ang Peng Tiam Challenge trophy for another year!

Soccer, played out in both the pitches in ACS (Independent), was the only sport that was won by the ACS (International) soccer team. The squash courts were probably the only other location where the Present team came close to troubling the Old Boys as they played to a tie. Waterpolo, badminton, tennis, volleyball and rugby were won by the Past teams as technique and experience trumped the youthful exuberance of the Present teams.

Another year of competing but more importantly, another great opportunity to share lives and share the heritage that makes us all ONEACS. As we look ahead to the 2015 Past vs Present games, we will constantly remind ourselves of our wonderful memories of days of yore...
