ACS
(International) Appoints New Principal
The Board of Management of ACS
(International) is pleased to announce
the appointment of Mr Rob Burrough
as Principal of ACS (International) in
succession to Mr Kerr Fulton Peebles, who
is leaving the school.
The Board appointed a search committee
which undertook an exhaustive search to
find an experienced international leader
to lead the 1,000-pupil school in the next
phase of its development. After considering
nearly thirty candidates from Europe, Asia,
North America and Australasia, the Board
has unanimously selected Mr Burrough.
A New Zealander, the 57 year-old Mr
Burrough is married with three grown up
children. He comes to us with 29 years’
experience as a teacher, including 16 years
as a school Principal in two continents.
He has served as Principal of Linwood
College and Temuka High School, both
in New Zealand and Head of Academy at The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa,
Kenya, an IB World School. He is deeply
committed to international education and
has pioneered the introduction of the
International Baccalaureate in Africa. A
committed Christian currently attending
the local Anglican Church, he and his
family attended a Methodist/Presbyterian
Church in New Zealand where he served
as an elder.
The Board is delighted to have been able
to make this appointment and is confident
that, under his leadership, the School will
continue to excel and flourish. |
