ACS
old boys from the class of ’56 held their Annual Golf
Challenge at the Raffles Country Club on 23 March. Though
the weather and conditions were excellent the Lake Course
was as intimidating as ever.
Nine golfers teed off at 8.00am and after a gruelling round
of countless OB’s and balls sprayed into the water, into the
rough and into the ever-present bunkers, John Chen once
again emerged the winner on “count-back” with Tony Chan
runners-up. Tan Wah Thong and Foo Chee Jan were clear Third
and Fourth respectively.
A lunch, courtesy of George Teo, concluded the tiring day.
Having won the Championship Trophy for the third time, John
Chen would retain it and George Teo was quick to pledge the
next trophy on behalf of a generous donor
