To
honour a tradition established 12 years ago, 13 golfers from
the ACS Class of 1956 teed off on 17 April at the Jurong
Country Club in the 2008 ACS Class 56 Golf Challenge.
Just as the first flight was about to tee off there was a
heavy downpour but the group's spirits were not dampened as
they took advantage of the delay by spending the time to
bond and to snap photos of each other. The weather was just
perfect after the rain subsided and everyone had a great
time as they enjoyed their friendly competition in pursuit
of the Challenge Cup. The day ended with a sumptuous Chinese
lunch as those present reminisced and shared good old
memories of the time spent at the Barker Road campus more
than 50 years ago !
The Challenge Cup was won by John Livingstone Chen
but nobody left empty handed as each participant received 2
golf balls to replenish those lost on the course.
