The six units of the Anglo-Chinese School are coming together as ONE ACS to celebrate 130 years of God's Faithfulness since its founding on 1 March 1886 by Bishop Oldham.
Looking back with gratitude and forward with faith, our HEARTS, our HOPES, our AIMS are ONE as we unite in one purpose in 2016, to seek to live out our Founder's philosophy of education - having a Heart of Service.

adopt a common theme and verse.
Addressing ACS Staff at their Dedication Service on 16 January 2016, Rev Dr Wee Boon Hup, the Bishop of the Methodist Church in Singapore, shared that genuine love should always motivate one who is
Called to Serve; he also exhorted those present to follow the example of Christ, who came "not to be served but to serve" (Mark 10:42). .
As a culmination of the ONE ACS SG50 ACtS of Service, the six schools will embark on one last act of service – by opening our schools as blood donation centres on the following dates and times:
-
18 February (9am-3pm) – ACS (Independent) Dover
campus
-
19 February (10am-4pm) – ACJC campus
-
27 February (10am-4pm) – Barker Road
campus
To encourage mass participation in this community project, pupils of ACS (Junior) and ACS (Primary) as well as those in lower secondary in ACS (Barker Road), ACS (Independent) and ACS (International) will be encouraged to design publicity flyers and serve as ambassadors to promote donation dates to their family, their school community and neighbourhood and the larger community. ACSians, 16 years and above, and all Old Boys, will be encouraged to donate too, to support this worthy cause. We hope to target 130 blood donors on each of the three days and we look forward to all ACSians, young and old, to do their part.
Truly, our hearts, our hopes, our aims are one. The Best Is Yet To Be.
