A Reunion with
a Difference!
The ACS Class of 83’s reunion
on 25 October 2007 can be regarded as a reunion with a difference.
First, the venue of Raintree
Resort & Spa at Labrador Hill Park was a rather unique choice for a
reunion and secondly, the 70 old boys who turned up for the event
also would have turned 40 by the end of the year, and it was thus a
'coming of age' event. What a novel idea!
According to Raymond Cheok,
the organizer of the reunion,
"This is just
a ‘warm up’ reunion to our 25th Anniversary in 2008, which we can
expect to be a grand one judging from the response. Some of us
stayed on till past 3am at another venue in town after we were
‘evicted’ from the Spa at midnight!"
The Silver Anniversary promises
to be an event unlike any other class reunions, and a nucleus
planning team has already been formed to start the ball rolling.
Tentatively, the auspicious 08-08-08 (08 August 2008) date has been
chosen for the occasion and the hunt is now on for long lost
schoolmates; volunteers from the ACS Class of 83 are also being
sought to help with the organization of the event. If you wish to
